Python is a very simple language that is easy to write and read. To write codes in python you only need a notepad and to run a python code you only need the python installed on your command line. Then if you have created a python code and saved in a file called “somepythoncode.py”, then you can simply run “python somepythoncode.py” to execute the python code. One very easy way to try python coding is to use the Katacoda Python Playground. You can visit this browser based python learning environment / online python IDE by clicking here.
When you click on that link, on left hand side you will see the most basic python code which we can consider as our first hello world program in python. It does a simple thing. It prints a message on the command line once you execute the code.
So, what is the hello world basic code to print a message on command line? You can find it below and in the Katacoda editor.
print("Hello World.")
This is the first installment of our python series. We will regularly post contents to create a very good tutorial on python for infrastructure automation. So stay tuned with us.
